My training includes a Master of Science in Medicine (Psychotherapy) from the University of Sydney, specialising in trauma theory. I also completed the Masters program in counselling through the Jansen Newman Institute. I maintain an ongoing involvement with the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP), and with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) . My clinical experience and training allows me to integrate the latest advancements and academic research, with a warm, client-centered approach.
My academic background allows me to bring a unique perspective to my therapy practice. I completed my PhD research at Harvard University, focusing on the areas of trauma, creativity, and sexuality. I held postdoctoral and research fellowships at the University of Texas at Austin, the New York Public Library, and at Harvard. My ongoing research enriches my understanding of human psychology and development, and brings a depth of knowledge to my therapy practice.
