About me

PhD, MScMed (Psychotherapy)
MA (Counselling & Applied Psychotherapy)

BA (Hons I) PACFA (Reg. 26130 Clinical), MIARPP

I undertook my trauma-informed clinical training at the University of Sydney, through the Master of Science in Medicine, after completing a Masters in counselling through the Jansen Newman Institute. My registration is with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and I’m committed to ongoing professional development. I’m also a member of the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP). Over the past two decades, I’ve work pro bono with organisations including ACON, Lifeline, Victims’ Support Services and the Ankali Project. My clinical experience and training allows me to integrate the latest advancements and academic research, with a warm, client-centered approach.

I bring a unique perspective to my therapy practice from my academic background. I completed my PhD research at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University. I’ve held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Texas at Austin, the New York Public Library and at Harvard. My academic experience has enriched my understanding of human psychology and development. My ongoing research in these areas allows me to bring a depth of knowledge to my practice.
